Are you a cyborg? Take the quiz!

The next step in human evolution is upon us: the cyborgs* have arrived. Cyborgs can be tricky to spot, but they’re growing in numbers. From grandmas with Fitbits to friends with virtual reality headsets, they’re everywhere. In fact, a national survey from TELUS discovered that almost 30 per cent of Canadians own a wearable device, making them part of the growing population of cyborgs.

Could you be a cyborg? Take the quiz below to find out!

It’s time to hit the gym (or just go for a stroll).
Do you wear a fitness tracker?

Absolutely. My body’s a temple and I like to keep a digital eye on it.

Take a look in the black mirror:

You’re a cyborg, just like the rest of the 18 per cent of Canadians that use wearable fitness trackers.

No I’m old school. If and when I work out, I do it on my own terms.

Have you ever strapped on a VR headset to explore another world?
Are you curious about virtual reality bytes?

I want to live on two plains at once: the real and the virtual.

Congrats, my cyborg friend.

You’re one of the 12 per cent of Canadians that want a VR headset. Did you know that, compared to women, twice as many men want a VR headset?

No I’m firmly rooted in the here and now.

Do you rock a smart watch to keep you connected to your online life, wherever you go?

I believe that wrists will one day replace pockets and I’m on the frontline of that evolution.

Welcome to cyborg life.

You’re one of the three in 10 Canadians that own a wearable device. And you’ll be the envy of the 10 per cent of Canadians that just want a smart watch.

No Nah, I don’t have time for that (because I don’t have a watch; see what I did there?).

Do you have any wearable tech or are you considering getting any in the future?

I believe in the power of tech.

Looks like you’re ready to go full ‘borg,

just like the other 48 per cent of Canadians that think tech can enhance our daily lives.

I’m perfectly happy with my birthday suit (well, that and “normal clothes”).

Well, my humanoid friend,

turns out you’re not a cyborg…yet. If you want to learn more, though, TELUS can help. Check out one of the new TELUS Connected Experience stores and get one-on-one counsel from a TELUS Learning Centre Expert so you can maximize the use of your devices.
