Have you always wanted to have a say in what you see on TV? Now you can! I am inviting you to vote on a new social platform called STORYHIVE. Part Kickstarter, part Linkedin, part competition (yes, like American Idol) site, STORYHIVE connects the community with production talent to pitch story ideas, plan projects and garner crowd support to attract funding from TELUS. Up to 6 top projects, as supported by the community, will each receive a production grant of $5000 and distribution on Optik TV On Demand.
We need your help to weigh in on what projects should receive funding. Voting is now open until this Sunday, July 14 at 11:55pm. Over 100 members of the creative community and 600 fans have gathered together in the Pilot Season to create 15 unique Canadian-produced video-based projects. If you love Canadian talent and want to support the local (Vancouver) creative community, sign up as a Fan and cast your votes. I guarantee it’ll make you feel good. Like, cheering for the home team.
The projects are as diverse, compelling and fresh as the people creating them. You can cast your votes for anytime before Sunday, July 14 at 11:55pm. Here are the finalists as of 07/12 (listed in alphabetical order):
