There are few things that get our team as excited as sports…and giving back to our communities. This year, RBC Sports day combined both of these passions by bringing Canadians together on November 21 to celebrate communities across Canada and love of sports.
Some of Canada’s biggest athletes showed their support in-person and online. Some participants included Olympic Hockey Gold Medalist, Marie-Philip Poulin, who is encouraging sports fans to support HEROS Hockey, a charity near and dear to us that uses ice hockey to empower youth.
While Olympic Skeleton racer, Cassie Elyse Hawrysh, motivated her followers to support another of our favourite initiatives the 60 Minute Kid’s Club, a free program supports students and elementary schools through physical literacy and active health strategies.
TELUS is a proud and long-standing supporter of both of these fantastic charities and we encourage you to check them out.
Make sure you share your support on social media for these incredible athletes and all of these amazing community programs!
