Connecting Rural Canadians: Northern Canada: true north, strong and free

Sugar_Maple_LeafI recently had an opportunity to visit the Northwest Territories, which is like no other place on Earth, with picture perfect landscapes and incredibly friendly people who make their visitors feel truly welcome.

The purpose of my visit was to announce the arrival of TELUS wireless services in Canada’s northernmost communities. For the first time, citizens can order and activate a TELUS wireless device with a local Yellowknife or Whitehorse phone number and enjoy Canada’s largest and most reliable 4G and 4G LTE networks that stretch to all corners of our vast country, from coast to coast to coast.

We understand how important it is to be able to connect – to your family, to your business, and to what matters. For Lee Sacrey, an accountant who moved to Yellowknife from Atlantic Canada, having access to our full suite of world-leading wireless products and services not only keeps him connected to his job but also creates new opportunities for him to pursue his true passion as a landscape photographer and blogger. Please watch the final edition of our Connecting Rural Canadians video series.

It’s been such a pleasure sharing our customers’ stories about how they use TELUS wireless technology to stay connected to the rest of Canada and the world. If you haven’t had a chance to watch the other videos in our five-part series, Connecting Rural Canadians, you will find them all on my blog.

Thank you so much for watching and learning about the TELUS team’s passionate efforts to bring our world-class networks, devices and customer service to Canadians in all corners of our remarkable country. I hope to visit the Northwest Territories again soon and catch a glimpse of the elusive Aurora Borealis. Until then, I will cherish my memories of one of the most amazing places on Earth: our true north, strong and free.
