Connecting the Green and Yellow: TELUS Brings Free Wi-Fi to Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton

August 21, is going to be a big day for Edmonton Eskimos fans and not just because the CFL East Division powerhouse, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, are coming to town! This Friday also marks the official launch of TELUS’ free public Wi-Fi at Commonwealth Stadium, guaranteed to make the game day experience even better.

Eskimos fans will now be able to take advantage of the free Wi-Fi at the stadium to easily post and share pictures and videos of their hometown heroes without draining their data plans. Not a TELUS subscriber? That’s fine; the free Wi-Fi is available to everyone at Commonwealth Stadium, regardless of their service provider! (Psst…if you’re thinking of switching to TELUS, we can help…just click here.)

The launch of TELUS’ free Wi-Fi also coincides with the launch of our season-long #AllHeartEsks Fan Photo contest! During every home game this season, Eskimos fans are encouraged to take pictures and share them on their social networks using the #AllHeartEsks hashtag for a chance to have their photos featured on the giant Commonwealth Stadium video board on game days. Also, everyone who shares their pics using the #AllHeartEsks hashtag will be automatically entered to win some amazing prizes, courtesy of TELUS.

But that’s not all! We’re also giving away an Esks prize package to five lucky fans! To enter, just tell us why you’re the biggest Esks supporter in the comments below. We’ll randomly select five winners who will each receive:

  • An official Edmonton Eskimos jersey,
  • A pair of tickets to an upcoming Eskimos home game,
  • A Fitbit, and
  • A TELUS Selfie Stick

Good luck to everyone who enters and don’t forget to snap and share your #AllHeartEsks photos!
