Introducing a new video series: Connecting Rural Canadians

One of the things I love about working at TELUS is our company’s ability to keep Canadians connected, from all corners of the country, and provide them with access to fast and reliable telecommunications technology, wherever life takes them. Our team has worked hard to bridge the digital divide and extend our world-leading technology and services to Canadians living in urban centres as well as rural communities. Today 99 per cent of Canadians have access to our advanced wireline and wireless networks, and our 4G LTE network – the fastest wireless technology in the world – reaches 80 per cent of all Canadians, with more communities being added each month. We are incredibly proud of these investments, which are bringing new economic, social, educational, cultural and medical opportunities to Canadians and supporting our country’s ability to compete in the global, knowledge-based economy. Our investments also give you and me the flexibility and freedom to live our lives on our own terms.

Recently, we asked some of our customers in Western Canada to describe how they are leveraging our expansive networks to make their lives simpler, more productive and more enjoyable. Their answers led us to create a new video series, Connecting Rural Canadians. I am thrilled to introduce our first video, which features a new bride living in Prince George who is about to get the surprise of her life. Stay tuned, more on this series coming soon.
